How do cells internalize molecules?

We study endocytosis – the process by which cells absorb substances from outside by engulfing them in a vesicle. Our work traverses scales and disciplines deciphering protein interactions within the endosomal fusion machinery, defining processes establishing hepatocyte polarity, and understanding the biophysics behind liver tissue formation. We finally use this knowledge of the delicate interplay of forces, molecules, and cells to reinvent drug delivery.
